The Hogwarts Escape ‘Year 2’ – A Free Online Harry Potter Escape Room
For anyone who loves playing online escape rooms, or any Harry Potter fan eager to return to Hogwarts: we’ve created a sequel to our first Harry Potter escape room.
In Year 2, you’ll (as you might have guessed) enter your second year at Hogwarts. You’ll attend magical classes, make new friends, and meanwhile try to solve a mystery that might just be bigger than you think…
A sequel to a hobby project
When my friend and I created the Hogwarts Escape (Year 1), we never imagined that so many people would play our escape room. What started as a fun little project during lockdown grew into a website visited by over 2 million fans worldwide. We certainly didn’t expect that!
After countless enthusiastic responses, we realized: we weren’t finished with the magic either.
Hogsmeade, magical lessons, secret passages, a thrilling adventure, and many nods to the books and films… We wanted to dive even deeper. So, we began working on a sequel: ‘Year 2’.
What can you expect?
For ‘Year 2,’ we aimed to improve everything players enjoyed from the first installment. We expanded our team and spent considerable time enhancing the visuals. We’ve crafted brand new puzzles, developed a fresh storyline, and added more interactive elements to enrich your magical journey.
How can you play?
Just like Year 1, The Hogwarts Escape ‘Year 2’ is entirely free to play.
All you need is a laptop. You can enjoy it solo, or have fun solving puzzles with friends and family—perfect if you enjoy teamwork, brain teasers, or simply getting lost in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
